How to transfer files between Android and PC via AirDroid?

AirDroid is a free Android application, allowing users to manage Android device through a WiFi network using a Web browser. In the Web browser, typing your Android device IP address and Port number, then input the 6-digit passcode to log in on the AirDroid access interface, after that  you can transfer files, backup/install apps, view phone info, manage contacts, send messages, and mange files, etc.If you are not good at using WiFi connection, you can transfer files by connecting your Android device to PC via USB mass storage mode or MPT/PTP.

Connect Android to PC via AirDroid wirelessly

1. Please make sure your computer is on the same WiFi network as your Android device.
On your Android device, go to Google Play to download and install AirDroid, then run the app.
On your computer, navigate to web.airdroid.com or key in the IP address shown on your Android device.

2. Login to AirDroid by scanning the QR code or typing in the passcode, you’ll see the icons and other relevant information about your Android device once it is connected successfully.


Transfer files between Android phone and computer

Part I: Transfer Android phone files to PC

To transfer Android files to your PC, you should use the AirDroid web interface on your PC. Click on the files icon and select a file from the file browser that opens up, right click on any file and select download to download the file to your computer.


Part II: Transfer files from PC to Android device

Run the AirDroid app on your Android device, it will detect your WiFi network and start the AirDroid server. The app will offer you an IP address for typing into your PC’s web browser to connect to the AirDroid server. On your Android device, tap on accept and you will be able to access the AirDroid interface on your PC’s web browser.

On the right of AirDroid web interface, there is a toolbox, click the file icon and next you can select from the folder/files icon to transfer a file or folder to your Android device.
